An Internet Marketing Strategy For Your E-book

So, you have finally written that e-book you’ve been meaning to get done. It took a while, but now it is ready to be released on the world wide web. You know the information is solid and that people will eat it up once they see it. But, people are not going to come and find you out of thin air. There isn’t some magic wand that will make customers suddenly appear and start buying your e-book just because you have written it.

As you may have gathered, that kind of thinking is incorrect. It’s not an internet marketing strategy, it’s a mistake. What you need is a plan. Now here is something that may surprise you: the specifics of most plans don’t really matter. In a way, they are like diets. There are all kinds of methods for losing weight, but they all come down to the basics. The only thing that really changes is the packaging.

The same can be said for a lot of internet marketing plans that are sold online. They come down to the basics, and the rest is just packaging. However, to take the diet analogy a step further, some diets are more effective for certain people than others. The downside is that it can take a while to find the one that;s the best one for you.

But don’t lose heart. There is an internet marketing strategy that will work for you. Perhaps you need to try a few of. Perhaps you need to alter a few of them to fit your situation better. Perhaps you need to stop altering them and follow each and every step they contain. Whatever the case may be, it can be done and you can do it.

Having an e-book is great. But what is it about your e-book that sets it apart from all of the other e-books out there? You need to be to explain your unique selling points in a convincing way. A way that resonates with your potential customers. Why do they need your e-book? Why should they buy yours instead of another one that claims to solve the same problem?

Answering those simple questions will form the basis of your personal internet marketing plan. How well you answer those questions will determine how successful that plan turns out to be. That means you need to take the questions and answers seriously. Don’t just answer them in a few seconds and then slap a website together. Sure, you may somehow get lucky, but you won’t live up to your full potential.

Think of it this way: you spent all of that time writing your e-book, doesn’t it make sense to invest a bit more time to sell as many copies as you possibly can? Sure it does. Finding the right internet marketing plan is well worth it and will pay off in the long run, and in the short run, too.

Using Internet Marketing To Build Your Company

If you happen to be a small business owner that wants to expand your company, then you should seriously consider internet marketing. Now, this may sound obvious to anybody that is in a tech-related field, but it’s not so obvious to others. Regardless, internet marketing is a great way to build just about any business.

When you think about it, every business has something in common, and that is selling to customers. Of course, there are many variations on this, and what’s being sold could be a physical product, a service, or a virtual product such as a web application. The definition of what a customer is can vary as well. Either way, when you boil it down all businesses are basically the same.

No matter what type of company you have, internet marketing helps in two main ways: getting new customers, and keeping customers. While there is no hard data, it’s safe to say that the majority of businesses focus on getting new customers. And far too many of them don’t do it very well. The idea that you can open a business and customers will start pouring in is an idea that will set you up for failure.

If you’ve been in business for any amount of time, then you know that customers do not magically appear just because you have decided to start a business. This applies to both brick and mortar businesses and online businesses. To be blunt, customers don’t care about you or your business. All they care about is what you can do for them.

There may have been a time when just having a website was enough to attract the attention of would-be customers, but those days are long gone. Internet marketing may include having a website, but having a website is not all there is to internet marketing.

Internet marketing is just like it sounds: using the internet to market your business. There are many facets to online marketing, but the all revolve around getting and keeping more customers for your business.

The first thing you need to do is get people to your website (or whatever online presence you have). This is known as traffic. Some of the ways you can get traffic is by running a pay-per-click campaign, through high placement in the search engines for keywords related to your business, writing articles that point back to your site, or paying for advertising on another company’s website.

Once you have people at your site, you need to connect with them in a way they respond to. You need to make them feel that doing business with you is a better option than not doing business with you. Now, that doesn’t mean you have to write a pushy sales letter for them to read; though you may want to, depending on your business. You can do things in a low-key way, or be very blunt; whatever works best for your business.

The above things cover getting new customers, but that’s only half the battle. Customer retention is also an important aspect of running a successful business. An easy way to do this online is by capturing their name and e-mail address. That way you can market to them again and again. The best part is that they don’t even have to be customers to sign up. See, they may not be willing to buy right now, but they may be willing to buy later. And you won’t have to spend as much on traffic if you have a list of people that are ready to receive your message.

Those are the basics of internet marketing. The world is more competitive than ever, and that’s not likely to change any time soon. Business owners who harness the marketing power of the internet are more likely to succeed than those who don’t.

Choosing Your Target Market

Who is your target market?

It is vital in Internet Marketing to have a target market that will allow you to market the products you are promoting much easier. There is no point promoting a product that people don’t want, you need to promote a product to people that are actually in the market for that product. If you don’t have a target market then you are just wasting money by promoting a product to people that just aren’t going to buy. To find a target marketing you need to identify a need within a niche and then find out if it will be profitable. Let’s take a look at how to find your target market.

Finding a Need

The stronger the need for something is the more profitable a product will be in that niche. If people are looking for a solution then they have a strong need for that solution and they are likely to spend money on finding that solution.

For example, if you had two products: How to get your ex back or How to apply makeup – which product do you think would sell better? The ‘how to get your ex back’ product has a high ‘need’ as when people break up the need to get back together is quite high. The ‘how to apply makeup’ product might sell to a certain degree, but the need for that product isn’t as strong.

When looking for a ‘need’ the stronger the need for a solution, the more sales your product will get, so try to find a niche where people have a strong need.

Finding a Pre-Existing Market

You can try to sell a product in a completely new market, but it is taking a big gamble. For example, if you come up with this great product about teaching your dog to walk on two legs, do you think there would be much demand for this product? It is possible you could come up with a new market and it could be really successful if the demand is there for it, but often there is no demand.

So it is a good idea to find a pre-existing market where you know there is demand and where products already sell well and then find an untapped area within that market.

What Makes a Good Target market?

A good target market would be one in which you could sell multiple products to customers. If you are selling a one off product then you can make money with this but the income you make is limited. If you can sell repeatedly to customers then your income potential is much higher.

Your target market wants to be a market where people are ready to buy. If you are targeting the ‘how to apply makeup’ market the chances are that people are looking for free information and not ready to buy a product. However, if you are targeting the ‘how to get your ex back’ market, people are desperate for this information and are ready to buy.

Your target will want some competitors as if there are no competitors then there is a good chance that there is no demand for that market and people have tried this market and failed. If there are competitors in the market then you know that this is a market that does convert and people are making money from this market.

These three points will find a good market and if you can find a need, find a pre-existing market then you are off to a good start. Doing your market research carefully before you begin your online business will give you a much greater chance of success.

Creating A Blog

If you have been thinking that creating a blog would be fun, and maybe even profitable, but you just don’t where to start, I can help. Setting up your new blog is not difficult at all, even if you are an absolute beginner. The simple steps to take can be learned and completed by most people in a few hours time.

Here are some key points you need to keep in mind before you jump in feet first:

1. The first thing you’ll want to give some thought to is what will be the topic of your blog? Are you going to share some of your expertise on one of your hobbies? Are you going to use your blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends? Or are you going to use your blog to build an online business? This step is crucial in determining several other factors related to your blog.

For example, if you are building a blog to share your expertise or keep in touch with family, you can probably just stick with the many free blogging platforms around such as Blogger.com, WordPress.com, Squidoo.com, Hubpages.com, etc. There is really no need for a ‘personal blogger’ to invest in their own domain name and hosting account, of course you can if you want, but you don’t really need to.

If, on the other hand, your blog is going to be for business and you are setting it up with the sole purpose of making an income online than you need to invest in a domain name and hosting account. Think of it like this: you wouldn’t open a fast food franchise in someone else’s building would you? You would at least need to have a contract stating that you were renting the space and therefore you could control, to a degree, what you did with that space. The internet is no different. When you own your domain name and you have your blog hosted it’s the same as owning some real estate online. This is important for the long term success of your business, this is also the biggest mistake many newbies make.

2. The second most important thing you need to consider, especially if you’re setting up a business, is to choose the topic of your blog. This topic, or niche, will largely determine whether or not you succeed online. Too many people just jump into a niche because they like it without having spent time researching whether or not it’s a viable market for them to make money in.

One of the best gauges of a good niche market is how many people are buying products related to that market? No matter how many people might like a certain niche, do they actually spend money on it? You can use free tools to determine this such as Amazon.com and the Google Keyword tools. Take some time to find a good niche market and the majority of your work will be done.

3. And last, pick the theme that you want for your blog. You can find hundreds of themes for free. Just pick a style that works for the subject of your blog. If you are building a business blog you may also want to install some plugins that will increase the functionality of your blog. A plugin is similar in concept to an app for a smart phone, it’s just a small software program that will enable you do to more things with your blog. There are thousands of plugins available and most of them are free.

These tips will help you when you are creating a blog, no matter what type of blog you are putting together. Most of all, enjoy yourself, blogging really is fun.

Have The Right Weapons To Get A Good Online Video Traffic

If you do not get the online video traffic you expect, it means that not everything is right in your approach. You have to delve deep to find out why this is so. Your online video traffic is just a mirror image of the effectiveness of your strategies. To understand the contributing factors of the debacle of minimum traffic, you should turn yourself into a virtual thinking machine, transform your thinking habits and try to read the minds of the customers out there.

It is the opinion of experts that if you talk more about yourself or about your product, your traffic audience is definitely not interested. They have better things to do. But if you talk about them, what you have to offer to them and the benefits they can derive out of watching your video, your online video traffic is bound to increase.

The simple psychology adopted here is that the customers must be genuinely made to think that the product or service that is on offer from your side is for solving their problems. Your video should truly create a feeling in their minds that they are the beneficiaries and not you. Your focus should be completely on them and them alone. But this should be a genuine concern for your customers because if you are phony, your customers will definitely find it out.

Another mistake that is committed that keeps online video traffic away is to assume that customers will immediately like your video and avail of the first opportunity to click on the URL of your website to buy your product. Nothing can be more untrue. Only if you tell them emphatically that their problem will be solved by watching the video and taking immediate action, you can not uncork their interest on your video.

Your call to action should smoothly flow from the video. It should not look as though you are purposely inserting it with a lot of strain to prevail upon them that by not taking the follow-through action, they lose a lot.

The bonus or the offers you make at the end of the video should be too good to refuse. When such irresistible offer is made, customers may hesitate to lose it.

The message of your offer must be lucid and explicit. Customers do not have either the patience or the time to read between the lines and understand the concealed meaning of your offer. You should not keep them guessing. Hence your offer must be transparently expressed to them so that they will unfailingly view your video, click on the URL of your website and buy the product.

To succeed in getting a good traffic to watch your video and as a follow-through, to buy your product, you should cultivate a rich man’s mindset in yourself and think and ask questions incessantly to acquire the secret weapon that brings success within your grab. Only with this secret in your arsenal, you can succeed in getting the best online video traffic.
