Domains For Sale – Best Options For You

When you are looking for domains for sale you have many options and wide variances in prices. If you are buying a brand new domain name that has never been registered before you will only pay around $10. If you want an existing domain name, especially a name that is well known and has a lot of monthly traffic, you will pay thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The method you use to find a domain name may be different depending on what you plan on doing with your website. If you are just starting a personal blog to keep in touch with some family members, you may just want to use your own name or some variation of that.

If you want your website to become an online business you want to spend more time researching various domain names. One of the best methods to use is to do keyword research to find very targeted, and highly searched keywords for your niche.

Once you’ve got your keywords list made up, go to a domain registrar such as GoDaddy.com, DomainChepsters.com or NameCheap.com to name a few. You can do a search to find other sites where you can buy a domain name. Once there you can do a search and see if your keyword is available as a domain name.

To illustrate, say you are selling something related to golf clubs and your keyword research indicates that the term “best golf clubs” is highly searched. You can go to a domain registrar site and type in the phrase “best golf clubs.com” and if that is available you will most likely have a great domain name for your business.

There is a lot of debate online as to whether or not you should get a .com or a .net domain name extension. I’ve used both extensions very successfully with my business so I am not in the “you should only use a .com domain name to be successful” camp.

Some people advise that you buy multiple versions of your domain names so if someone enters the domain incorrectly they can still land on your domain. For example, if your domain name is ‘BestGolfBalls.com” you may want to also buy “BestGolfBalls.net” and “BestGolfBall.com” etc.

That method is a good one to use but unless you’re making tens of thousands from your website it’s a cost that you can avoid if you want to.

It’s never a good idea to rely on the free domain names that you get with free blog sites such as WordPress Blogger for your business. If your blog is strictly a personal blog than it’s ok, but if your blog is for business than you shouldn’t do it.

For one thing if you rely on the free sites, you don’t own anything. A domain name is like owning a little piece of the internet. As long as you don’t do anything illegal, you can do whatever you want with your domain.

When you are just using someone else’s domain such as WordPress or Blogger, they set the rules and if they don’t like something you are doing (whether it’s illegal or not) they can and do shut you down. They don’t even have to contact you or warn you.

Investing in a domain name for your business is inexpensive and easy. Use these tips of finding the best domains for sale for your business.

Domain Parking – Passive Income From Domain Parking

Have you ever wondered what in the world domain parking is and how do you do it? This is simply a way of generating some extra income from a domain name that you haven’t gotten around to putting a website up on. Or you can actually use this technique to make money online, the choice is yours.

For either option, parking a domain name until you’re ready to set up your website, or making money by parking your domain as your primary business, you will approach it in the same way.

Step one is to find a good company where you can park your domain. These sites will act as the middle man and will place all the ads on your parked site. They will also take care of lining up the advertisers and issuing your check, so make sure the company you choose has a good reputation.

Next, you need to determine how much of a budget you have for your domain names. If you want to buy existing domain names that are already getting traffic and are well known, it will cost you more.

To get a new, unregistered domain name will be around %10 a year but an existing high traffic domain name could easily cost hundreds or hundreds of thousands of dollars (of course your chances of making a lot of money are much better with an existing domain name).

If you are looking for an existing domain name and you are planning on buying one from an auction site you would be wise to find a few highly reputable auction sites and familiarize yourself with the process.

It can be all too easy to get caught up in the auction process and later find that you’ve grossly overspent. That is not a good way to do business. Figure out what your budget will be, become familiar with the process and under no circumstances allow yourself to go over your budget.

If you are buying a domain name for your own use, but you just can’t get to it for a while and you want to make some money in the meantime, you obviously don’t have to worry so much about the auction sites. You can get a new, unregistered domain name from any online registrar, there are many from which to choose.

Either option you choose, you do have to find a good company. You want one that will pay you at least 85%PRCTG% of the profit from the ads placed on your site. You also want a company that will allow you to optimize your landing pages so you can maximize your return on investment and get a higher click through rate (CTR).

If you get stuck with a company that won’t allow you to have any control, you might regret deciding to try parking your domain in the first place.

Domain parking is a very popular method for generating income online. Whether you choose to do it only to make a little extra cash with that domain name you just bought but don’t have time to get to yet, or you are doing this as a full time income, there is a lot of opportunity to make money. Just like anything, though, you have to know what you are doing.

Domain For Sale – Get It Right Tips

When you are looking for a domain for sale you have two choices: you can come up with your own domain name and buy it or you can find an existing domain name and buy it from the owner or at a domain auction site.

Both options have their pros and cons and I’ll give you a little bit of information on each option so you can choose the one that is best for you and your business.

Buying a brand new domain name, one that you’ve made up and one that has never been registered before (or at least isn’t currently registered by anyone) is usually your cheapest option. You can get a new domain name for around %10 a year, but there are some specific steps you want to follow to get a good domain name.

For one thing, if you’re buying a domain name for an online business, just using your name probably isn’t a great idea, unless you are famous and a lot of people would recognize your name and search for it online.

It’s important to have a basic understanding of the way search engines work. When someone looks for something online they go to a search engine (such as Bing, Yahoo, Google, etc.) and type in words related to the product or service they are looking for (keywords).

The more searches a certain keyword gets, the more traffic that a website with that domain name can get… for free. This is called organic traffic.

When you are trying to find a good domain name for your niche website you need to find out what keywords get a lot of searches a month for that niche. Once you’ve got a list of keywords you can head over to places like GoDaddy.com or NameCheap.com, etc.

You should have several options since most of the really highly searched terms will already be taken. Some people say that you should only get a .com extension. I personally have used .net as well as a .com and have had good results with both.

Some people also say that your domain should just be the keyword with no other words, for example, golfballs.com rather than bestgolfballs.com (assuming that ‘golf balls’ is the keyword). To be honest, I’ve done it both ways and I’ve found that as long as the keyword is intact and the extra words are added at the beginning or the end, it doesn’t matter.

If you want to buy an existing domain name the same rules would apply unless the domain you want to purchase already has a lot of targeted traffic every month. At the end of the day, that’s what you want so if the domain name you are trying to buy already has a built in customer base, and if you can afford it, I say go for it!

I hope these tips have made your search for a domain for sale a little more clear. Take a little time and figure out your strategy before hand and if you want an existing domain just go to a domain auction site (many of the places that sell domain names, like the ones listed above, also have auctions) and buy your domain name.

Buy Domain Names – Tips On How And Why

Want to know what the steps are to buy domain names? Having your own domain name and your own website is by far the best way to start an online business. When you have a domain name and a website it’s like ‘owning’ your own piece of online real estate. It gives your business credibility and it allows you the control you need to run your business as you choose.

Many people, especially when first starting out, mistakenly think that they can put up a blog or website for free at places like WordPress.com or Blogger.com and that is the same as getting their own domain name.

Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. when you go the free route, you don’t own anything and you don’t control anything.

If the company who is hosting your blog decides that they are going to change some rule and then find that you aren’t in accordance with the new rule, they can just pull the plug on your blog. They don’t have to warn you, it’s theirs and they can do what they want.

It also presents a less than professional image to any visitors that may visit your free website. You want to create credibility and look professional. Neither of those things is achieved with a free site.

So, hopefully I’ve got you convinced that owning your own website is important, now I will walk you through the steps to buying your first domain name.

1. Figure out what your website will be about. Are you selling products or services related to birds, golf, online business, pets, etc.

2. Once you determine what niche your business will be in, you need to find a list of keywords related to that niche. A long list of highly targeted and highly searched keywords is what you are looking for.

3. Take your list of keywords to an online domain registrar, there are dozens. Plug in your keywords until you find one that is available.

For example, if you are building a business about bird watching and you’ve found that the keyword “bird watching for beginners” gets a lot of monthly searches, than you plug that in to see if the domain name “BirdWatchingForBeginners.com” is available. If so – great, if not – keep looking.

The more competitive the niche the more time it will take to find the right domain name since many of the keywords that you are using will already be taken.

If possible, use a .com extension but if you just can’t find a .com but you can find a .net, I would go for it. I’ve used both and have gotten great results with either. This is especially true if your domain name is a really great keyword.

Also, try to avoid using other words if possible. If the most searched for keyword on your list is “bird watching tips” it’s best to use only ‘BirdWatchingTips.com” but if that’s not available you can still get good results with “BestBirdWathcingTips.com”.

It’s not quite as good, but it’s better than using a less popular keyword for your domain name. As long as the keyword itself is intact, it won’t hurt you to add a word before or after your main keyword.

It’s easy to buy domain names, what becomes more of a challenge is to buy the right names, these tips will help you get a great name for your business.

Buying Domain Name – Personal Or Business

There are several ways you can go about buying domain name for your online business or for your personal online blog. If you have a personal blog you can just use the free services at WordPress or Blogger and use your own name. If you are starting an online business, though, that is not the method you should use.

When you buy a domain name you actually own a small piece of internet ‘real estate’. As long as you don’t break any laws you can do whatever you want with that domain.

If you rely on the free sites you will be at their mercy. That may not seem like a big deal right now but if you build up a very profitable online business and Google (who owns Blogger.com) decides that they don’t like something you are doing, they can shut your site down with no warning.

Think of what it would feel like to go to bed one night with a very successful online business only to wake up the next morning to find that your website is gone! If you think I”m just being paranoid you should ask around in the forums online and see if that has happened to anyone.

Since it only costs around %10 to buy a domain name, it’s just not worth the risk.

The next consideration for buying domain name is what should your name be? The best way to answer that is to do keyword research and compile a list of keywords associated with your niche that get high monthly searches.

With your keyword list in hand head off to some online domain name registrars like GoDaddy.com or NameCheap.com (you can do a search and find many other domain registrars if you want to, there are a lot of them). Once there, you simply go down your keyword list until you find a domain name that is available.

So, let’s say you have a keyword that is “make money online”. You would go to a domain registrar, type in the phrase “make money online” choose your extension (I personally think it’s ok to use either a .com or a .net) and see if that domain is available. If it is you just have to check out, and it’s yours.

If you want to buy a domain name that has already been purchased by someone you can go to domain auction sites and try to buy it there. You will usually pay more since the domain name has actually been online in most cases and will already be getting traffic.

But, since it’s already getting traffic this may be a great way to jump start your business, so it’s not all bad. If you can afford it.

Buying domain name for your online business really isn’t difficult or expensive. To get the biggest bang out of your domain name just follow these simple tips. When you use an actual keyword for your domain name you will get a lot of free traffic and that is always a nice thing.
